I Have Questions
Bring the questions you're usually afraid you're not supposed to ask.
Why would God do that?
What happens when I doubt?
Do these passages contradict each other?
Why does Christianity claim this?
What if I study something and still don't know?
Questions aren't automatically evidence that faith is failing.
Sometimes questions reveal that you're finally examining what you believe instead of repeating what you've heard.
This category teaches you how to take difficult questions seriously without demanding easy answers.
For the Student
Start by writing the actual question.
Don't soften it into something more religious-sounding.
Then determine what kind of question you're asking.
Is it about:
What the Bible says?
How to interpret something?
History?
Theology?
Science?
Ethics?
Something Christians disagree about?
That determines what kind of research you'll need.
For the Grown-Up
Don't panic when the question is uncomfortable.
A teenager saying, “I don't understand why God did this,” is not necessarily saying, “I reject God.”
Help them investigate rather than rushing to defend.
