Make It Make Sense

You read the words. Now figure out what they're doing.

Reading the Bible and understanding the Bible aren't always the same thing.

Sometimes you understand every individual word in a verse and still think:

“…okay, but what does that mean?”

This category introduces interpretation skills without turning Bible study into a seminary class.

Students will define words, compare passages, follow biblical connections, explain ideas in their own language, and rescue familiar verses from being separated from their context.

For the Student

You're moving beyond:

“What does it say?”

toward:

“What does it mean here?”

Your first answer might change.

That's allowed.

Actually, that's part of studying.

For the Grown-Up

Resist rewarding speed.

A student changing their answer after noticing context is not “getting it wrong.”

They're learning.

Ask:

“What changed your mind?”

That's often more valuable than whether their first answer matched yours.
