Find It!
Open the Bible. Hunt for the clues.
Children don't always need to begin with interpretation. Sometimes the best Bible study question is simply:
“Can you find it?”
Find It! turns observation into a scavenger hunt. Children search for people, repeated words, actions, numbers, and changes in a passage.
They're quietly learning one of the foundations of Bible study: before deciding what a passage means, pay attention to what is actually there.
For the Child
Grab your Bible. You're going hunting.
You may search for names, numbers, actions, repeated words, or something that changes.
When you find the answer, don't just say it.
Show where you found it.
For the Grown-Up
Navigation itself may be the challenge for younger children. Help them find the book, chapter, and paragraph. You may even point to the correct few verses.
That's not giving away the answer.
Once they're in the right place, allow them to locate the clue.
For non-readers, you become the search engine: tell them the target, read aloud, and let them signal when they hear it.
